I personally think that if all guns were outlawed,
including hunting guns. The number of people killed by knives, blunt objects, and personal weapons would sky rocket. Due to the fact that there would be no threat in walking into someone's house and beating them until they die. I think that the number of burglaries would also increase dramatically. “One in three Americans own guns.” (One) This fact really makes you rethink walking into someone's house when you're not invited.
The group that thinks taking away guns will solve murders has been proved wrong by the fact that people still get killed by knives, and other personal weapons. Guns in fact do not kill people, people kill people. This is a well known saying and makes you process that it is not the guns fault but the person who pulled the trigger. That is why the person who was controlling the gun gets put in jail, and not the gun. To legally shoot a firearm you have to have completed a hunter's safety class, and you have to be certified by a hunters safety instructor. This is to ensure the safety of firearms and makes you get certified before being able to purchase a firearm. These laws are good and murders by firearms would dramatically decrease if everyone would abide to these laws, but there will always be bad people that get ahold of firearms which they can not legally have. These kind of people are the ones that ruin the name of guns.
