1. Should young immigrants who came to the USA as children be granted citizenship? Why or Why not?
In my opinion, yes, they should be granted citizenship because of several reasons. One of these reasons is from the historical aspect. In fact, the American society consisted by groups of immigrants hundreds of years ago. People began migrating to America in search of money, safety, or escape from poverty in their original states. Thus, many immigrants from many countries gathered on this land to form a multicultural society, religions and languages, so-called culturally and traditionally SALAD BOWL before it became MELTING POT (Jacoby, 2004). In fact, I respect the view of President Trump, who issued a statement saying, " I do not favor punishing children, most of whom are now adults, for the actions of their parents. But, we must also recognize that we are nation of opportunity because we are a nation of laws." (Siddiqui, 2017). However, I think that the decision should be reconsidered before it is implemented for several reasons. That if these children remain in the US without engaging in criminal cases such as drugs, thefts or terrorist crimes, their presence in the country will have positive effects, as do many immigrants earlier to America who have positive effects on country growth and evolution in American society.
