Pros Of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was made a holiday by president Abraham Lincoln in 1863 but was celebrated long before than. Thanksgiving was created in 1621 when the pilgrims and a native american tribe got together to celebrate a good year of harvesting. Over the years thanksgiving has been celebrated for many different reasons such as winning a war, for religion, or just being thankful.
In 1620 the pilgrims journeyed from England to the New World to establish a colony where they could practice their religion freely. In their first journey the pilgrims went to the netherlands but left right away after finding out their was not enough space for them there. The pilgrims then journeyed again to this time the new world, still in the boat some of them signed
