Protein Article Research
Proteins are molecules that consist of amino acids. Our skin, muscles, bones and other parts of the body depend on these amino acids to help our bodies function properly. Enzymes, hormones and antibodies are proteins. Proteins work as neurotransmitters, and protein carries oxygen in the blood and throughout the rest of the body. Amino acids are the building blocks for proteins. Enzymes, hormones, transport proteins, Immunoglobulin or Antibodies, Structural proteins, Motor proteins, Receptor, Signalling, and storage proteins. These all work in the body to keep the body in perfectly functioning.
Amino acids play a key role in building proteins and intermediates in metabolism. Amino acids also build muscle tissue. With this, amino acids have a large part in physiological development that is consistent with energy, recovery, brain function, mood, muscle and fat loss. Amino acids are composed of atoms; carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. Some amino acids include sulfur. All amino acids follow the same basic structure with a variable side chain. Amino acids are responsible for quite a bit of our bodies function. Our bodies are made up of at least 20% of protein/amino acids. With protein being deficient in your diet can be disastrous and can lead to many health problems. These can lead to edema, weight loss, brittle hair or loss, ridged nails, headaches, difficulty sleeping, moodiness, depression and more health issues come from the lack of protein. As you can see here it does make a huge difference in your body’s daily functions. These are all associated with your health and wellbeing.
Your protein intake will depend on you, your age, and size and activity level. The minimum for a male, 40 years old, at 150 pounds is .55 grams of protein per day. For myself I am
