Psalms 23 Scripture

Scripture is a lot of times overlooked in its true meaning. Today’s world has taken the Bible and translated it so many time that we sometimes do not see the words and the meaning of the text in its entirety. With so many translations and different languages that we must take into account, it is crucial that we not just read the scripture and move on but to research the context in which it was being used and to whom was saying it. Break down the words in the languages that were spoken in the time frame in which it was being expressed. Then after we do those things we can apply it our lives. Psalms 23 is a perfect example of how we need to break down our passages and find out who’s the writer, what it means, and how we today can apply it.
Before he became king David, he was just a young shepherd that looked after his father’s sheep. As the shepherd, it was important that he took care of the sheep. He watched over them all day long to make sure that predators do not kill the sheep. None of his brothers cared for him when he was taking care of the sheep and when the profit came to David’s father and told him that one of his kids would be king one day, the father never even considered David to be the one to fulfill the prophecy. He did his job and didn’t complain, and God ended up blessing him, and he became king.
