Before he became king David, he was just a young shepherd that looked after his father’s sheep. As the shepherd, it was important that he took care of the sheep. He watched over them all day long to make sure that predators do not kill the sheep. None of his brothers cared for him when he was taking care of the sheep and when the profit came to David’s father and told him that one of his kids would be king one day, the father never even considered David to be the one to fulfill the prophecy. He did his job and didn’t complain, and God ended up blessing him, and he became king. From this, we can apply that in God plan and following him then we don't have to want for anything and that his love will pursue us.
