Should Physical education be compulsory in secondary schools? That’s the question everyone wants to find out. Here we will discuss the for and against facts we should now.
Physical education should be compulsory because,Students who have Physical Education on a regular basis are more likely to be healthy and fit. They will sleep better at night and that will help them stay awake and focused in their classes. Many children do not get exercise outside of school, preferring video games to going outside to play. Requiring children to take Physical Education classes can encourage them to seek out fun activities that help them be healthy, throughout their lifetime. Physical activity is also proven to help the brain function better. So when your kid is done with physical education he can focus a little better and develop his motor skills by the way he plays and moves, so he becomes more fit like hand eye cooperation. Mental skills are also developed by physical education because it keeps the player focused in the game and to be able to accept winning or losing. Last but not least social skills are developed also like cooperation with other people.

Students who do not want to exercise and benefit themselves will not do so. They will only sit on the sidelines doing nothing. Even if physical education is compulsory, students will make their own decisions about their own fitness. That cannot be changed. We might as well let them use their time to do something productive. It also causes kids to feel bad about their physical ability and strength. Another reason is that it is not conducted well and there is no good supervision for it to show results.
In my opinion I think it should be compulsory because it will make a better future for our children and makes them look better too and lower the risk of obesity diseases. So definitely if someone had good skills and looked good will turn out to be a successful

Physical Education classes should be in every school, so children have an opportunity to learn skills such as agility, balance and coordination. The average child should get up to 60 minutes of activity a day, and if this is incorporated into their daily routine it should be met. Although accommodating for sports in schools is becoming increasingly difficult due to health and safety guidelines in place, meaning in certain schools simple games such as tag are not allowed meaning children are forced to engage in sedentary activity hindering their chances of reaching their quota of 60 minutes of activity today. Coaches should also give children skills that need to be worked on at home between training sessions to ensure the skill is fully mastered with the added bonus of the children remaining…

Today, in order to balance physical education and academics, schools require a minimum of two years of physical education. This is half of the four total years. The rest of the years it is optional. This may cause students to be physically inactive for about two years straight. This inactivity is causing a quick rise in obesity rates. Something should be done about the obesity rates, and schools aren't helping. Since the health, career, and mindset of many children are at risk, schools should require students to take some form of physical activity, whether through a sport or P.E. for all four years of high school.…
