As far as the Web-based tools, like PSV-Lab, educators, designers and practitioners working with persons with autism could harness their affordances in order to formulate individualised educational programs for adolescents and young adults with autism and prepare their transition from school to work. Secondly, they could adapt their instructional interventions and modify students’ long-term individualised programs in order to minimize distractions and negative behaviors. In addition, capturing and analysing observation and bio-physiological data over time can provide clear evidence of students’ progress thus offering critical information to the tutors to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of their interventions.

In addition, the unique characteristics of each participant and the individualised nature of the present intervention suggest that we need to take these results with caution. Another limitation of the study is that, in the transfer phase, we had the opportunity to collect data only from five PSV-Lab tasks, because of the extended work and the time need. Despite that the data analysed indicated that the students were able to maintain the acquired pre-vocational skills, further research is needed to determine if these promising outcomes concern all the tasks included in
