Description of Personality
The most salient aspect of my personality is being an introvert. I feel that I am introverted because I enjoy spending my time alone, doing quiet activities such as reading and interacting with people over social media. I am not a “party” person. However, I will go to a party, but I won’t necessarily enjoy my time there; I will usually leave early and in most cases I will leave with a headache. Although I do not enjoy spending time with large groups of people, I am the most comfortable while being with a small and close group of friends. Since this study displays how introverts and extroverts interact with the world around them, recognitions of communicator image, and by progression, communicator style, there are boundless suggestions for extroversion and introversion inclination regarding social charisma and effective the delivery of communication (Opt and Lofredo, 566). Accordingly, having a constructive or opposing communicator image might influence different people 's perceptions and evaluation of the communicator (Opt and Lofredo, 566). More research should be completed to better and completely comprehend how introverted people 's communication preferences influence their capacity to exist agreeably and successfully in a society where the publicly accepted norms appear to be commanded by and esteem extraverted tendencies; a future research question could be: is the introverts’ perception of poor communication actually manifest in their communication style?

I was surprised by the results I thought that introverts would have fared better on the tone identification task because introverts require lower levels of stimulation and arousal that extroverts. I have never completed a tone identification task before, but I would like the opportunity to do so because I would be interested in comparing my results with the results of this study. The second study that I reviewed Communicator Image and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Extraversion-Introversion was interesting because communicating with people face to face (especially in large groups) is not one of my fortes. I am much better at communication when I am communicating over social media such as Facebook or Twitter. I am better at communicating over social media because when I communicate face-to-face I am fearful of saying something wrong, mispronouncing something or stuttering; therefore I find it easier to communicate when I can read over what I am trying to say and make any corrections before I send the message to the recipient. I understand that being extroverted is more highly valued in North American society; therefore I would like to understand how introverted people live in an extroverted world.
