{Insert type of therapy approach} | {Insert type of therapy approach} | {Insert type of therapy approach} | Summary of Approach | Psychodynamic Psychodynamic approach involves therapy that tries to bring unresolved past conflicts and unacceptable behaviors from the unconscious to the conscious in order for the patients to be able to deal with the problems more effectively. | BehavioralBehavioral is a psychological therapy that focuses on changing unwanted behaviors. It’s also involved to identify unpleasant, maladaptive behaviors and replaces them with good types. | CognitiveCognitive therapy seeks to change the interpretations of a patient in order to change dysfunctional cognitions and perceptions about themselves and the world. | Disorders appropriate for this therapy | I have a fear singing in public reason being because as a child I went to sing for my grandparent’s anniversary party in front of 50 people. I forgot one of the verses and ended up running to restroom in embarrassment. Because of this I also accumulated a fear of speaking in public. | An example would be fear of blood, heights, and pain. These fears would be due to an accident were the person fell down 7’ and severely injured themselves. Another example would be fear of water due to the person being claustrophobic and having a feeling of suffocation when going under water. | For example that person sets their goals high and when they fail to succeed with their goals they come down really hard on themselves. They begin to focus on their failures and begin thinking negatively leading to feelings of depression and sadness.
