Ideally out of the four foundation health measures, I have put a lot of weight in discussing the foundation health measure of general health status. There are four main foundation health measures, but it is quite evident that general health status plays an integral part in postulating efficiency of health by ensuring that the disparities are eliminated and the improve of good health. Health status is paramount as it gives an analysis as to the quality of life of one. The goal of all these health measures is to foresee that quality of life is uplifted for the entire life of one. Actually, general health depicts the overall state of information targeting the population of the health (Ness, et al 2015). Life expectancy, Health life expectancy, Years of potential loss, Physically and mental health status, Limitation of activity, and Chronic disease prevalence All the above parameters are compared with those set by the international set guidelines.

Foundation health measure of general health status can be used to measure effectiveness of achieving the Blood Transfusion It is true that, foundation health measures can be used to measure extend on how effective is blood transfusion.
In simple terms, it tries to answer the above question on how general health status can be used to measure the effectiveness in achieving the medical issue of Blood transfusion. Blood transfusion is one of the sensitive measures in the medicine and health in general. Blood transfusion is an important factor that helps in restoring back the initial state of one person health (Benadiba, et al 2015). When one is not having a good state of the health, this means he or she cannot help in transfusing the blood. The blood needed for transfusion should be those which are healthy and free from any
ailments. In a nutshell, general health status is effective in determining the achievement of the blood transfusion. For instance, those on the prime age can donate more blood as compared to those who are aging or moving towards the age of 65. Blood is made of living organisms which as one grows too grows, and that’s why it is effective in achieving the main goal of blood transfusion. Secondly, the limitations of activity which will help in increasing the blood flow in the human body. The general state of the health in terms of limitation of activity is of high importance as it determines how one is health in terms of donating of blood. The movement of blood depicts that the human body is healthy and can perform the act of blood transfusion. However, as one grows old the health status changes and it is for this reason that it affects the blood transfusion. Disease prevalence crops up as one grows thus reducing the rate of blood transfusion depicting the measure on how effectiveness is general health status in the achievement of blood transfusion (Van Walraven, 2013).
