The Hunting ground was a great documentary on sexual assaults that go on on college campuses. The Hunting Ground shows us various students who where sexually assaulted at their local college campuses. After watching the movie, I gain a lot of knowledge on what really goes on behind some college campuses and how some college administrators use their authority to keep sexual assaults from the public eye . The Hunting Ground provides us with multiple students who allege that they were sexually assaulted at their local college campuses, and that the college deans ignored them or required them to provide evidence. The film provides us with evidence that many college officials in charge were more concerned with…

During a fire safety of you as an individual is the main thing before trying to help anyone else. However, there is also, safety problems that you need to check within the Primary school building. Some of these are simple ones like checking that the fire alarm is working and is reliable this can be solved by having this tested every couple of weeks, doing this will also make the service users aware of what actions need to be taken when this is going off. Another safety hazard that needs to be dealt with is preventing the building from collapsing. This will prevent young children or staff members from getting trapped when a fire is taking place as everything is built properly and is reliable. This can be done by making sure that the building isn’t built out of materials that will catch fire straight away. Lastly during a fire, people will be evacuating the building at a fast speed which could mean people will trip and this will cause a ripple effect as they will be getting stamped on which could cause a serious injury but make others fall to the ground also. To prevent this from happening the doors should always be wide enough to fit everybody through but a fire exit should be available in every classroom and this should be kept clear at all times. There are policy’s that link to this and…

There has been a wide range of factors that may have influenced the increase of sexual assaults on college and university campuses. For instance, the consumption of alcohol and the attitudes of sexual assaults towards women, the environmental and cultural factors (such as support groups for sexual aggression), as well as, the inadequate enforcement of the campus police and administrators that has been offered as potential causes (Armstrong, Hamilton and Sweeney, 2006: p. 483).…

The “Seven deadly sins” law was passed and for the first time a first offense, a non-parolable sentence of at least ten years for kidnapping, armed robbery, rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and aggravated child molestation. Minimum sentence for first offense of murder is life, with no parole eligibility for 25 years. Second offense of any of the “seven deadly sins” gets life without possibility of parole. The monies received from the program is supposed to offset the cost of building more prisons to accommodate the longer sentencing (Timothy S Carr, 2008). One of the prison terms extended was armed robbery. In this paper I will address the charge of armed robbery and talk about some of the different sceneries surrounding the charge and the sentencing associated with it. One thing that will remain the same is, no matter how you change what happen, if you are charged with the crime and convicted, the minimum amount of time…

Hate crimes are “any felony or violent crime based on prejudice against a particular group. They are prejudice’s most extreme expression. Compared to other crimes, hate crimes have a broader impact on victims and communities because they target core aspects of identity.” In this paper I will go over different types of hate crimes and what the law does to protect the rights of the victims. I will also go over Violence in the Schools and provide some helpful information to better understand what the crime is and what the law does to protect the victims. School violence, is any form of violent activity or activities inside the school premises. It includes bullying, physical abuses, verbal abuses, brawl, shooting etc. Bullying and physical abuses are the most common forms of violence that is associated with school violence. As the years gone by, the violence at school has gotten more and more frequent and in some cases, dangerous. For example Columbine High School massacre in Colorado in 1999 and how about, Virginia Tech Massacre in 2007. It’s surprising to find out that young students could go to such extremities.…
