At the end of this learning opportunity participants will be able to know what to do in the event of a fire at the Gymnasium.

2. Describe the content of what you will cover.

The content to be discussed during thus development opportunity are: Where are the fire exits, how to locate a fire exit, where are the fire blankets, fire extinguishers and the fire hoses, where to meet up in the event of a fire, and who to call in the event of a fire.

3. Describe the learners (eg age, experience, education level, industry they work in).

Employees of the gymnasium, personal trainers, gym staff, cleaners, members of the administrative team. The ages of the participants varies from as young as 20 years old to as old as 60 years old. All of the participants are in the gymnasium business; most are physically fit and active. The education levels vary from just completing HSC to University degrees.

4. Describe the methodology, activity or development opportunity that you will use (eg one-on-one training). Explain why you have chosen that methodology, activity or development opportunity.

In order to properly conduct and impart fire safety and training to the employees of the gymnasium, the use of small group instruction and also practical assessment will be utilized.     During a fire safety of you as an individual is the main thing before trying to help anyone else. However, there is also, safety problems that you need to check within the Primary school building. Some of these are simple ones like checking that the fire alarm is working and is reliable this can be solved by having this tested every couple of weeks, doing this will also make the service users aware of what actions need to be taken when this is going off. Another safety hazard that needs to be dealt with is preventing the building from collapsing. This will prevent young children or staff members from getting trapped when a fire is taking place as everything is built properly and is reliable.
