Quentin: A Fictional Narrative
"What are you doing to my car!" A voice bellowed from behind him.

In that moment Quentin knew he was in deep trouble. He has finally been caught red handed in his own mischiefs. He dropped the can of spray-paint, letting it fall on the ground with a clump. Quentin slowly turned around coming face to face with none other than Nia Eliot.

Oh hell no. He had vandalize the wrong car.

"Was this a dare? Who put you up to this?" She snarled at him. She caught sight of her hood gasping at the words in bright pink spray-paint.

He saw her glance at the hood of her car and he immediately felt guilt build up in the pit of his stomach. He stepped in front of her line of vision.

"That's not meant for you," he pinched the end of his nose trying to come up with a way to

"I insist. There isn't going to be another bus for another hour." Quentin said reminding her. Why did he have to be right?

"Alright. Where's your car?" Nia asked. Quentin motioned her to follow him. His car was nowhere near the campus parking lot, but parked at a near by gas station. Nia found this a little bit sketchy. Quentin spared a glance at Nia as she buckled her seatbelt. She didn't gaze in awe at his car like how many girls had before. Instead she was typing away fast on her phone a message to her mom telling her about what had happened. She didn't expect to receive a message that fast since her mom was a busy woman. Nia was surprised to read that she was laughing about her situation, so she sent her a message asking her if she has been drinking. Her mom replied

Tom wondered for what seemed to be the millionth time why Dectives were required to dress like wall-street bankers or stock analysts. At least that was the expectation in public, however the moment he had the office to himself, he unknotted his tie, slipped off the linen suit jacket, and undid the top button of his shirt, then sat back in his chair, raised his eyes to the ceiling, and tapped the tip of a ballpoint pen against his teeth. That was Tom's usual mode of concentration and contemplation, and so intent was the man's focus on the new case that all else slipped from his mind, even the recollection that he'd texted his wife. Therefore, the sudden familiar sound of her voice, accompanied by the enticing aroma of barbecue, startled him, and he immediately shot upright. The sight of Lila elicited a smile that only widened with the greeting and kiss. "Sorry baby."…
