The author RC sheriff is Robert Cedric Sherriff, he was born on 1896 and died on 1975, he wrote the play after the war, he was an officer in the east Surrey Regiment, he joined the world war one, and then he came up with an idea to make a play based on his real life story during the world war one. He was dominated by two squad, the triple Alliance and the triple Entente. He wrote in the play many characters and the main characters are, Raleigh, Osborne and Stanhope. In this essay I will be introducing and analyzing the 3 main characteristics from the story journeys end.

And RC sheriff who is the author of the story journeys end, he introduced many characters and one of them was Raleigh, Raleigh was the youngest solider in the army, he is going to fight in a war for the first time, he was so excited to see his friend Stanhope, they were friends together back in school days when they were kids, Stanhope is like a hero for Raleigh, Raleigh is trying to impress him self for Stanhope. Raleigh expected to be fighting up with all the soldiers, he thought he will be fighting in the war with the other soldiers he didn’t expect to be sitting in the trenches and fighting with other soldiers. Raleigh thinks and imagine that the war is silly he didn’t expect soldiers dying and there
He call Stanhope by the “the best company commander we got” but he doesn’t mean it he is just saying that in front of
