To begin with racial stereotyping is one of the biggest problem in America. For example Amadou Diallo was a young black man who was shot in 1999 when New York City policemen opened fire on him because they thought he was reaching for a weapon. The policemen thought because he was black he was pulling out a gun. This is not the 1st time an event like that happen! Like with Michael brown who was also killed by a policemen who saw him walking with a hood on and saw he was black and also said he thought he was up to trouble and reaching for a gun and shot him. Me as an African American myself I was not pleased hearing and reading about these events. The stereotype about black people and crime is very wrong! Not all black people are the same. For example my friend once said all guys who wear pink are gay. I heard this stereotype many times. And truthfully I think this straight up one of the dumbest stereotypes in the book. Pink is a color and a color shouldn’t determine your sexual preferences or who you love. Another stereotype is only men are strong or men are stronger than women. This maybe be true in some cases but not in all. I am stronger than a lot of guys in my grade. Gender should not play a role in how weak or strong you are. Another one is about sports. Like how girls shouldn’t play football or basketball because they are not as good as boys. I think that’s not true at all I know a lot of girls who can hoop and get down on the football field. That’s why they have a women’s basketball organization. Your gender should effect how you see or feel about
