Block 4 White Barack Obama
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time, we are the ones we’ve been waiting for, and we are the change that we seek.” Barack Obama’s entire presidency Obama has been helping America. On May 2nd 2011, Obama put an end to Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the tragic 9/11 attack in 2001. That was one of Obama’s greatest achievements. In certain ads Obama uses the persuasive technique plain folk, plain folk is when the candidate describes that he is just like you and he understands what you need. This was to build more businesses in America from the neck up. In the ad “Table” Obama sits down in a chair to discuss what he has done for America and how he has filled the requirements that American people expected telling them how is just like them. An ad called “Always” Barack Obama says that he is what America needs because he knows what is best for America.
Obama also uses a famous persuasive technique called name calling. This is when the opposing candidate insults the other candidate to make them look bad. Over seventy percent of this year’s ad for president between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have been name calling. In one ad called “Firms” Obama said that Mitt Romney outsources jobs global and that he hides money in a Swiss account. Also in the ad “The Cheaters” Obama said that Mitt Romney is scared of China so
