In my opinion, the biggest contributor to radio’s development was Guglielmo Marconi. He is credited for inventing the radio and the wireless telegraph. Like many others, he was inspired by previous researchers and scientists. However, he greatly shaped the way we communicate today. He increased the efficiency of Hertz’s oscillator and translated Morse code without wires. Not to mention, the entire US army was equipped with Marconi’s equipment. Without him the world would have been completely different.
5. Skywaves are interferences that intervene with other radio signals. They are radio signals that rebound under certain conditions, affecting stations around sunset. Many stations do not benefit from the phenomenon, although, some may. It can benefit or obstruct AM and FM radio signals, however, FM may not be affected as much as AM to the constraints after sunset due to its limited direct wave signal. So due to the skywave phenomenon, some AM stations need to sign off around sunset.
6. A distinct advantage to digital audio broadcasting is that a listener can hear a better and much clearer sound due to the greater frequency response and dynamic range. Another advantage to HD Radio is that digital signals don’t exactly need as much power as analog
