Raising Adam Lanza Analysis

The video titled “Raising Adam Lanza” was very informational; it definitely helped me understand the possible factors that lead up to Adam Lanza’s horrific act. The Hartford courant reporters Alaine Griffin and Josh Kovner learned that Adam was very close with his mother, they were puzzled on why he decided to shoot his mother and continuously questioned was Nancy a victim or was she to blame?. The reporters set out on a mission to discover the relationship between Adam and his mother Nancy Lanza. The reporters did their job mainly by visiting close friends of Nancy and others who had some contact with Adam. Their goal for meeting with those people was to gather history of Adams past and the background of the mother’s thoughts.

Richard explained to Josh that he convinced Adam to be in his technology club because he observed that Adam was very isolated. Richard told Josh that he interacted with Nancy to see how he could help her son. Josh immediately asked and what did she say? Josh also asked Richard “how many times did you see his mother on campus?” and after Richard answered two or three times, Josh asked “why do you think she was there two or three times?. The reporter’s body language showed the audience that he was very engaged; he nodded and showed a very curious behavior.

A reporter named Andrew was very knowledgeable in the video there was a part where all of the three reporters gathered together to share information. Andrew realized that Adam had certain disorders which contributed to his difficulty of engaging with numerous peers. Aside from that Adam was changed multiple times to different a school which definitely was not beneficial to him.
