Rama's Reaction To Ramayaa
In the forest, Rama caught the eye of Surpankha, sister of Ravana who is the most powerful king of Asura. Rama and Lakshman both rejected Surpankha. Lakhsman even mutilated her nose. Offended and hurt, she came to his brother for help. As a revenge for his sister, Ravana abducted Sita. The brothers sought the help of the monkey king, Sugriva, to find and rescue Sita. BOOK III
In this part of the story, Sita’s devotion and love for Rama was shown. She chose to be with her husband in exile. She could have lived a more comfortable life in the palace but still she chose to be with Rama. Maybe this can also be translated as the wife’s submission to her husband. It was also mentioned that Rama asked Sita to stay to serve his brothers and his family. Not only is the wife submissive to the husband, she also submits herself to the man’s family.
Rama did not leave the kingdom alone. He was accompanied by his wife and his very loyal brother. Lakshman knew that Rama’s banishment is for reasons not valid. His love for his brother outweighs the comfort the palace life can bring. He volunteered to serve Rama and his wife in exile. He did this knowing he has his own

Henceforth I shall be on the side of your enemies.” (Sundiata, 42). This is one reason why people would go to war against each other. Most men are very protective of their women. The idea of another man having his wife or daughter locked up to have his way with her caused…

Rama behaves honorably in fulfilling his familial duties. Although Rama undergoes the ignominy of being exiled, he willingly accepts the circumstances and does not attempt to orchestrate events in his favor. King Dasaratha is forced by Kaikeyi to send Rama into exile and even though Rama’s family members and advisors try to convince him to stay, he refuses to do so. When his father attempts to break the promise he made to Kaikeyi and begs Rama to stay, the latter still chooses to go out of respect for his father’s initial words. I was first introduced to the religion of Hinduism in 2008, when the movie “Slumdog Millionaire” came out. In one scene of the movie it shows Rama, the seventh avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu and a king of Ayodhya in Hindu scriptures. Rama is revered for his unending compassion, courage and devotion to religious values and duty. I wanted to know why they showed Rama in that scene and what importance he had in that scene. In that scene it shows a group of Hindu’s running across railroad tracks attacking another group of people. In a cut scene it shows Rama standing there and then goes back to the assault. The purpose of this was to show the viewers that the group attacking was Hindu’s and the group being attacked was not Hindu’s, we later find out that the people being attacked were Muslims.…
