Randy Jackson: The Stage Of The Concert
On a early September Friday a cover band lead by guitarist and lead singer, Randy Jackson, performed at a bar on the north side of Milwaukee and played a variety of Rock and Roll tunes. The stage of the concert was very basic. There were no huge props on stage or anything that drew the attention of the audience. The concert was a relatively small event and it had a relatively low budget so it’s understandable to see the lack of setting. However, the basic small stage actually fit the atmosphere of the evening rather well. It was a somewhat small crowd and in a small building so a large, gaudy stage would seem out of place. The productions sound quality was great. They had large speakers on every side of the stage and it projected all the sound loud and clearly. No special …show more content…

All the Performers were wearing jeans and a t-shirt. This is very common for rock concerts. No extreme outfits or crazy props were used because the band had the intent to focus the audience's attention on the music rather than themselves. The only special action that was performed was the lead guitarist occasionally throwing out a pick into the audience. There was no drastic change in the performance at any point nor any machinery utilized. The singer did often converse with the audience asking them to do things such as clap or stand up and yell. Overall I thought the concert was solid in terms of its technical aspect. The main limiting factor for this performance was its lack of money to spend on big, extravagant props and set, but I believe the plain stage and costuming fit the band well. I especially enjoyed the lighting due to its ability to aid in controlling the mood of the audience. Although it was a rather simple production, I thoroughly enjoyed the event and appreciate the technical details even more because of the new wealth of knowledge I have gained during the

This skilled playing brought the whole crowd to their feet during the performance, despite the delicious food sitting right underneath their noses. This song, which was new to many die-hard fans, ended with a powerful drum solo by Brown. This solo was enhanced by the striking notes of Randy McDonald’s beautiful, teal bass. As the night progressed, Castro filled the audience’s ears with a couple of raw sounding covers. B.B. King’s “Bad Luck” and Bob Dylan’s “Gotta Serve Somebody” were instant crowd pleasers, along with Castro’s classic hit “Right as Rain.” Castro and his Painkillers were definitely there to surprise and please their audience, just as they are known for.…

As soon as I entered the theatre, it was completely packed. I also saw many people from different age groups; this gave me a feeling that the show would be entertaining enough to get people from all ages to come and see the show. The environment of the theatre was very formal, as there was a red and gold layout and it was also very clean.…

The lights on the sides of the stage shines right into the audience’s faces that were sitting on the far sides of the house. Besides this distraction, the lighting was often very dim or sparsely lit. I thought it might have been a limitation of the space, but there were a few scenes that were very well lit, so I was confused about the purpose of that. It didn’t really seem to add much to the production and was much more distracting in its limitations than it was enhancing. Sound was a prominent part of the show, often used during the fight scenes. I actually liked the use of sound in the fight scenes. Although the intense music was another component of the over-dramatic action of the show, I felt that it was one of the few necessary ones. There obviously needed to be some sound to fill this time, and it would have been odd for it to be something other than the intense mood that was clearly trying to be created. Besides…

All the elements in the show went perfectly with the actors, the sets, and the lighting. The whole stage was used and the performers moved around throughout the entire stage. Though when I saw the play for the first time, I realized that the set that I saw was only a small part of the entire set. In addition to the the pox house that was set up with an amazing amount of detail with all of the little trinkets on the shelves, the lights and sound effects also added to the level of greatness. The colors of the lights would accurately match the mood of a scene or set the tone. This is essentially what lights are supposed to do in a play, but it is sometimes overlooked in small school productions. With regards to the sound effects, I was a bit taken aback by the real life aspect of it.…

When I first walked into the theater, I was very surprised with the close proximity of the chairs to the stage and props. I was not expecting to be seated on the actual stage where I could practically touch the actors. Once the show began, it started with one of the actors coming out and welcoming everyone to the show. However, he did not just say “welcome everyone!” He actually named off every single type of human possibly there for over two minutes. While doing this, he would sit in the audience, point at people and interact with them. I really enjoyed the intimacy of the play with it’s close…

The concert was somewhat as I expected to be. The concert was so formal and organized. . Even though I had some prejudgments about the concert at first, I enjoyed listening to these pieces live. I will try to attend future classical music concerts. There were some parts where the management team could have done better. The artist demonstrated dynamics, technique, harmony and togetherness beautifully. Before leaving the concert hall I was able to speak briefly with some of the musicians, they were very helpful in answering my questions about the…

Overall, I feel that attending this concert made me more aware of the diversity of style. I enjoyed the many different sounds that this orchestra performed. I also enjoyed the dramatic tension I and the vibe that was given in the pieces . But mostly what I enjoyed the most of this whole performance was the second to last piece that was played. The way that the saxophone was played opened my ears to a new sound that I never heard. For this being the first concert that I have attended I can honestly say that this was a great…

The audience was respectful, for the most part. Everyone set quietly during the performances, and clapped after each one. Some people did use their cell phones, but that did not bother me as I set in the front row. Between the acts, people around me made small talk about what project they were doing or what professor they had. The stage was set up like a normal small stage would. It was on ground level, and the light eliminated the small but versatile stage. The large piano was the center of the stage, but when someone would play a different set of instruments, they would stand in front of the piano and the piano would almost disappear as your attention was now focused on the performers.…

The first song titled “Show me more”, Jeff the guitarist started playing solo, and another solo by Alex playing drums which he later in the third song switched to playing the keyboard. Then the rappers started improvising more like in a call and response manner, followed by a high pitch from the keyboard, drums and guitar. On the second song titled “Gotta go” one of my friends Marco Babi joined in rapping the audience went ecstatic they started clapping, he was very good, I was impressed I had no idea that he had skills like that every word was related to the next and his overall performance on stage was great. The next song “I’ll see you when you get there” had a fast tempo, complex melodies and was more energetic even the music director was into it. There were lots improvisations, all the performer came to the front of the stage and played every tune lots of intensity in a call and response manner later everyone joined playing…
