Almost second to none, however, the constitution oppositely still affects the country very much. All of the country still has to obey the laws in the constitution whereas the Monroe doctrine would practically obsolete. The constitution has shaped the government for the past 200 years whereas other events like Manifest Destiny, only affected a certain generation of people. Yet another reason why the ratification of the constitution is as important as it is.
