Economics was a great driving force of European Imperialism. I will tell you why, with evidence I found in a few documents. In document Eit shows how Great Britain imports and exports from 1854 and 1900. Because of this growth Great Britain has accumulated an estimated 21 million pounds in 1900 from exports. This was important because Great Britain accumulated roughly about 3 million pounds in 1854 from African resources they exported. In document D it shows that Great Britain exported metal alloys to make things as coins and ammunition. I think this has something to do with European Imperialism because if they were exporting ammunition to people, it could that they are expecting to take over land. Another reason I think this is important because there could be a lot of conflict with this, which could’ve led to terrible things. This is how Economics was a great driving force of European Imperialism.

In document C it shows when the Electric Telegraph was invented (1837). I chose this because with the Electric Telegraph they were able to communicate with others. The Electric Telegraph could be used to negotiate deals with the other European Colonies. This is how Exploratory was a great driving force behind European
