Reasons For The Boston Massacre
On March 5th 1770 a horrendous war broke out between the British troops and the Bostonians, it was called The Boston Massacre. 6 were killed and 5 were injured both troops and citizens. Some people have tried to blame this war on the citizens and most blame it on the soldiers. The bostonians started the fight but they most likely didn't think that it would escalate to the point it did. They took advantage of the soldier in acting in this way and got what they deserved.

On the day of the Boston Massacre the bostonians were reported to be throwing rocks and snowballs at the troops. They were also taunting them by calling them “lobster backs” and telling them to fire if they dare. The bostonians were wrong and very disrespectful

The details regarding what followed have always been the source of debate, but that evening, a group of Bostonians approached a guard in front of the customs house and started taunting him. The situation quickly escalated. When a contingent of British redcoats came to the defense of their fellow soldier, more angry Bostonians joined the fracas, throwing snowballs and other items at the troops.…

The Boston Massacre was an unfortunate event which could have clearly been prevented if taken the right precautions and made the right decisions at the right time. According to my text book, the massacre was an attempt at protest against the British soldiers taking over the colonists’ jobs. If the soldiers had followed instructions, if Britain had paid the soldiers more, and if Crispus Attucks had taken a more peaceful approach to this problem, things might’ve gone differently.…

Event 1. The discovery of America. America was discovered (for Europe) in 1492. It was “discovered” by a man by the name of Christopher Columbus. He had a crazy theory that the world was round. He told the king of Europe about his theory and said if he funded an expedition for Christopher he would sail around the whole world and find the quickest route to Asia. But the king said no, so he proposed the same idea to Spain and they agreed. So he set off to sail around the world! After many months they finally found land. But it was not Asia, it was a new land. But they did not find out until after they landed and realized it wasn't Asia This event was important because if this never happened, I would not be writing a report about top five events…

1:In the Boston (Bloody) Massacre, both Soldiers and Colonists were involved. We all know the story of the Boston Massacre; British troops fired into a group of colonists and killed five people, deeming it the start of the American Revolution. However, the story most people are not aware of are the reason behind the shooting and the events that led up to what is now known as the “massacre”. This topic is one of the most controversial moments in the American Revolution. Why were shots fired? Better yet, why were there weapons drawn on the colonists in the first place? And who was truly at fault for this “massacre”? Was it truly the British troops? Or was it in fact the colonists? The fate of one man’s life, Captain Thomas Preston, and his soldiers depended on the truth from the former questions. Through this essay, evidence will be looked at by the prosecution’s and defendant’s witnesses in the trial of Captain Preston and his soldiers in hopes to understand what truly happened on the night of March 5th, 1770.…

The events of March 5, 1770, dubbed as "The Boston Massacre", was a tragedy in which 5 Bostonian civilians lost their lives at the hands of British Redcoats. Although the Redcoats, terribly at fault, shot into the masses, the rebellious Bostonians played a role in the shooting as well. Although they were quite justified in doing so, the townspeople of Boston severely over exaggerated the events of that day in order to gain public sympathy and pit more colonists against the British regime.…

What about the colonial side of the days previous to the massacre? Boston was under the rule of the Navigation Laws. They were forced to house soldiers who enforced what were, in their eyes, unfair laws. The entire city felt as if it were in a war zone what with all the redcoats. The citizens had felt the tension under the ‘fog of war.’ Striking out against the enforcers of these rules were what any independent person would do under pressure. That the soldiers retaliated was not a problem- it was the extent of their retaliation that caused problems. Broken bones can be fixed, but the dead can never come to life again.…

The Boston Massacre was a small tragedy that is making a large mark in the state of Massachusetts. This event will forever be remembered as the day that British soldiers heartlessly slaughtered many innocent civilians. The soldiers in this situation are most definitely guilty of manslaughter. They wounded and killed many citizens without provocation that threatened their well being, therefore giving them no good reason to have opened fire in the first place.…
