In today's society college sports are a hot commodity. The massive commercial success of many non-profit educational institutions managing and operating sports business enterprises have resulted in over eight hundred and seventy million dollars in revenue for division conferences, schools, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (How much do College Sports Generate?). The main argument from the perspective that they should be paid is that the athletes are the ones bringing in the revenue. March Madness, for example, brings in over 11 million viewers and over 9 billion dollars gambled. With all those viewers and money, the athletes deserve a reward for bringing that revenue into the school and NCAA. Although, there’s only two main sports that bring profit into a college -- football and basketball. Does this mean there are players who only play basketball and football deserve to be paid?
