Once you have all the supplies and prep done, now you are ready to start making the enchilada filling. First you will want to fill your big pot about three quarters of the way full with water and bring it to a boil. When the water starts to boil you can add the chicken breast. Be careful because the pot and water are extremely hot and may splash back up at you. You will want to let the chicken boil for about fourty-five minutes to one hour. I check if the chicken is cooked all the way through by cutting a breast in half and making sure there is no pink in the meat. When the chicken is done, you will want to strain the water from…

    My Meatloaf Recipe

    • 319 Words
    • 2 Pages

Meatloaf provokes images of a simple dish, a brick on a plate with classic connotations of blandness and mediocrity. This recipe is simple in its description, yet complex in its flavors and texture. This iteration of the recipe incorporates the flavor of various meats, spices and textures without the perpetual salty coating of brown gravy or weak red sauce usually associated with dish. Hopefully if one follows this recipe they also can become enlightened by the experience and view the proverbial “meatloaf night” as a culinary treat. This recipe is somewhat larger in volume than most meatloaf recipes. This is not a depiction of the chef’s physique or appetite, but is based upon the fact that leftover meatloaf is better the next day.…

Cook the potatoes and onions until they are tender and can be speared easily with a sharp knife, 8 to 10 minutes from when the water comes to a boil. Fish the potatoes out of the pot with a strainer (trying to leave the onions and seasonings behind) and put them on a large platter. 3 Add the corn to the pot, bring the water back to a boil, and cook until it’s bright yellow, about 2 minutes. Transfer the corn to the platter with tongs. 4 Add whatever seafood you’re using to the pot (use tongs for the lobsters or crabs).…

Time to give it a better taste... Oh, I have to put the sausage and browned cabbage beforehand. Why didn't I put them all together? For cabbage, that is becuase it will lose its shape if boiled for a long time. For sausage? Well, it will also lose its skin above 80℃ in a stove, so that's why I have waited until the meat becomes juicy. I ended up putting both sausage and cabbage in the pot with much more affection than other ingredients.…

It is very important to have all the ingredients before you start to prep and cook your meal. You will need: two pans, four potatoes, steak, one can of green beans, one pot, a potato peeler, can opener, pepper, garlic, seasoned meat tenderizer, onion and garlic powder, vegetable oil, butter, milk, salt, chives, and a standing mixer with a rotating bowl. Once you have all of that you can start to peel the potatoes. After you have done this, you can fill the pot up with water and bring it to a boil. You can now add the potatoes and let it cook for about twenty minutes until they are cooked thoroughly. You can tell if they are finished if you can stick a fork easily through them. You then drain the water from the pot and put the potatoes in the standing mixer. The standing mixer makes it easier to whip the potatoes and they come out with no lumps. After you have whipped the potatoes, you can put them into a smaller pot and turn on the stove. Now you add a cup of milk, sprinkle some pepper and salt into the pot, and add 3 to 4 table spoons of butter. You also add some chives for flavor and mix all the contents all together. Lastly you reduce the heat and cover your finished product.…
