Red legs run speech
Hello Cincinnati. As you already know, today is a joyous day for friends, family, and the Great American Pastime, Baseball. Today we celebrate the Red legs Run as well as the Red's community fund. For those of you who don't know, the Red's community Fund blends together the team's long history of community involvement with a present-day commitment to at-risk kids throughout Greater Cincinnati. Since its inception in 2001, the Reds Community Fund has used baseball as a medium to reach out to kids. As the nonprofit division of baseball's first professional team, the Community Fund strives to fabricate programs that connects unprivileged children with baseball, while also developing fundraising programs that unites baseball with the community.
Mainly, the Reds community fund mission is dedicated to improving the lives of youth by leveraging the tradition of the Cincinnati Reds and the game of baseball.

It is really a special day to see all these runners participate in this Red legs Run. It shows how strong and supportive the Red Leg community and that there is always opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our youth. I projected that this race would hopefully raise 50,000$dollars. Ladies and Gentlemen. Today we have already raised over $180,000 and that number is continuing to rise. This number is unprecedented and I want to personally thank all of the sponsors and participants for helping us achieve our goal of 50,000. This money will be incorporated into the Red's community fund. This money will fund some of our outreach programs. Outreach programs include the Reds Rookie Success League, a free, coed, character-building program for 6-12 year olds in Greater Cincinnati. It will also fund Youth Baseball and Softball Funding, which underwrites expenses for more than 400 inner-city teams throughout Reds Country. Also, it will aid in Renovations of multiple baseball fields. The funds from this Red Leg Run will help restore over 325 baseball and softball

loating around with King and Straub, we came across the corpse of one of the Fisherman's victims: Irma Freneau, a young girl. There was a dog trying to get her severed foot out of her sneaker so it could eat it. Irma's leg was cut off at the hip and was nowhere to be found. She appeared to have been strangled to death and then dismembered. The killer discarded her foot as the leg was the only thing he needed. I'm still not sure why he needed her leg, or who he is for that matter, but the description of the place she was found in gave me goosebumps, The police are still trying to find out who the Fisherman is and trying to catch him while parents of small children grow more and more…

All the proceeds raised benefits The Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City through funding medical research and family support programs. The joy that radiated from the children that passed through the carnival was contagious, not only to myself but also to the other 2,000 OU students that attended the Soonerthon event as well.…

Those in charge of the sports activities here in Sterling should focus on getting today’s youth passionate about the sport they are involved in. Many of the sports available for young children are run by an organization, but do not set guidelines for the parent coaches to follow. A standard set of values that deserve recognition should be provided to the volunteers who guide young athletes. Each team could have an end of the season dinner or get together, where each child’s biggest accomplishment gets recognized. Recognizing individual achievements gives each child an actual realistic confidence booster that they can be proud of. Having each teammate say something nice or constructive about someone else would build the relationships between team members and create a stronger community. The team t-shirts that are given to each player at the beginning of the season are a great momento of the child’s involvement in the sport, participation trophies are…

MLB player involvement in the community is a wonderful thing when it all comes together and benefits the organization and the community. Matthew Wagner, Assistant Director or the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund said, “Our biggest challenge is not players who want to be involved but finding the time for them to be involved” (M. Wagner, personal communication, March 23, 2016). Baseball games are being played everyday and even though players are trying to fit it in their schedules to make an impact in their community that doesn’t always happen. Often times the best scenario is when the organization schedules community volunteer days for the team’s off day or if the management requires their players to go out into the community.…
