1. Describe how being in a crowd can lead people to engage in destructive behaviors
When you a bunch of people together that maybe don’t have the best set of morals, violence generally escalates pretty fast. Think about riot or mob violence, usually it takes collective behavior to drive groups of people who are encouraging each other to act in ways they might never consider doing if they were alone.
2. Define the prisoner’s dilemma and the resource dilemma. How can we solve these dilemmas and how might solutions differ between cultures?
Prisoner’s dilemma is basically when you have two prisoners that are being questioned together each of them is better to confess then remain silent, because it’s said that if one confesses before the other, they will be the ones set free. Resource dilemmas happen when you have an individual that can choose how much to withdraw for personal use. I think we can solve these dilemmas by making things even across the board. It shouldn’t matter who ratted who out. If two people were involved then two people need to be responsible.
