1) Identify a real conflict that you have faced/are facing with your team.

In secondary school, my best friend was the chairperson while I was the vice-chairperson in the Red Cross Society. A conflict occurred when we were managing and ruling the whole society. She wanted to be lenient in ruling but I had suggested keeping on implementing the strict and tough system. For example, when some members who are late for the practices or events, no penalty are given from her but I thought that we had to give warn for their mistakes. As such, we had many quarrels over our different views. I was not satisfied to her ways to rule a team and wished to maintain the old system. Our team members also separate into 2 gangs which one side stands by for her and another side stands by for me. It directly destroys the unity of the team.

2) Outline the nature of the conflict.
It is a conflict of leadership styles. We are different in character so that we may have different ways in ruling.

3) has the conflict arisen? What was the cause? (Facts, methods, goals, values, or a combination of these sources of conflict?)

The conflict arisen was due to differences in values and methods on how to rule a team/society. However, I thought that a leader had to be strict and firm so that the team members will obey and comply with the team rules. Also, the team members would give more respect to the leader. My opinion was to follow the traditional system while she wanted to carry out a new and flexible system. She is more open-minded and liked to try some new things. In contrast, I thought that the new system is not suitable to be practiced as

Dealing with conflict is discussed throughout the course however there is many of ways in dealing with this, some theories believe there is a process to follow or on the other hand it can be down to the particular individual.
