At the Constitutional Convention, the Convention's resolutions on national legislative authority were particularized into a series of enumerated powers. This meant that under federal law these powers can only govern matters within the terms of some power-granting clause of the Constitution. By adding the Necessary and Proper Clause, the Founding Fathers set the criteria for laws that, may not necessarily be within the terms of other grants, serve to make other federal powers effective. The necessary and proper clause may grant power to congress if it is deemed to reinforce the great powers outlined in the enumerated powers.…
In the novel "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, the author engages the reader with imagery and melancholic details. Utilizing imagery helps the reader understand how lonely and difficult Jane's life can be. Although she is an orphan, books are her escape from reality, or at least an activity to spend time.…

As portrayed in both stories, Of Mice and Men and A Separate Peace, friendship was undoubtfully the epitome of both plot lines. There was George and Lennie, an odd couple bounded by the ties of “brotherhood and a dream. "'A guy needs somebody-to be near him.' He whined, 'A guy goes nuts if he ain't got nobody.'" (72) There was also Gene and Phineas, the other’s significant self, connected by their balanced natures and undeniable trust. "Naturally I don't believe books and I don't believe teachers, but I do believe-it's important for me to believe you [Gene]. Christ, I've got to believe you, at least. I know you better than anybody" (154). As both authors lead our fellow characters into tough situations, it brings out the solid truth behind their relationships. Through the similarities and differences on the concept of friendship in each book, overall messages can be concluded by both authors based on the actions and thoughts perceived by the characters.…

Many times, we don’t even have to be told before we help each other out. I remember this time when I was having problems with one of my courses-Technical Drawing. I couldn’t really think of anyone to help until I approached one of my fellow choristers and she hosted me for the night, taught me and even helped with my assignments on several occasions and the outcome at the end of the term of excellent, even beyond expectations. All these little favors done to me or that I did really made me feel fulfilled and happy to be amongst them. And I know these values I learnt helped me alot in establishing relationships beyond and outside the group, helped me in demonstrating the pathos appeal which I know is going to be beneficial to me on a long…
The overall experience completing the LASSI student report was interesting one due to the difficulty associated with being completely honest with yourself. This is definitely something that I have found to be a re-occurrence throughout this course, however due to the nature of the questions in this particular section, it proved to be the daunting questionnaire this course has required yet. After finishing the student report, I was able to conclude that the nature of the questions and the honesty involved paid off because I found this resource to be the most reflective and also the most helpful in targeting the weaknesses in my academic skills. My lowest two scores were in anxiety and time management, and I feel very confident that these two are closely related. I do not have issues in learning the actual content of courses, rather my problems occur in not effectively allotting time to learn it which in turn causes the stress and the two together result in poor exam performance. In order to avoid these issues which result in extreme stress come exam time I need to set aside time to effectively plan and schedule time and techniques for completing assignments and studying, then follow through with the derived plan.…
