Maureen Foley (she has resumed her maiden name) and Richard Turrow were divorced in 2006 in Idaho, following ten years of marriage. At the time of the divorce, the couple had two children, Colin and Tyler, ages 4 and 6, and the court awarded joint legal custody to both parties and physical custody of both children to Maureen. Richard was ordered to pay $450/month in child support for both children. At the time of this order, Richard made approximately $25,000 a year, and Maureen made $14,000 a year. Maureen now makes $18,000 a year and just isn’t cutting it with such a low amount of child support for two growing children who eat a lot more food than they did when they were only 4 and 6. Also, Richard now makes $45,000 a year thanks to a major promotion a few years ago.…

Aortic Valve Stenosis is the narrowing or obstruction of the heart 's aortic valve. The aorta is a large artery that originates in the left ventricle (lower chamber) of the heart. The narrowing and obstruction of the aortic valve prevents it from opening properly and blocks the flow of blood from the left ventricle to the aorta and onward towards the rest of the body. Aortic valve stenosis occurs in approximately 5 out of every 10,000 people.1 It occurs more commonly in males than females. Symptoms do not often appear until middle age or older.…

This reflection is divided into two parts: the importance of critical reflection and an evaluation of self. The first part will be drawing upon through the appropriate literature, and there are four points to prove the importance of critical reflection in personal development. It will be expounded and distinguish Reflection in action and Reflection on action. Then, the theory of Single and double loop learning will be introduced. Moreover, the reflection also includes the difficulties and challenges. In the second part, it will be reflected my own personal style or capabilities through MBTI Personality Test, because of there are two different styles for me, and through the comparison it will be proof which one is the best one. After confirming the style of MBTI Personality Test, I will give some my own examples, keep the strengths and come up with some suggestion of the weaknesses to support the above theories.…

Throughout life we have many turning points that can determine one’s pathway through life and some that could possibly change us. In “The Great Rat Hunt Story” by Laurence Yep he writes about a personal story that involves the issues that he had to endure as a child which he felt ashamed about, he also talks about his father. As a kid Laurence wasn’t the typical athletic kid like the one his father was when he was his age, his father would attempt to teach his older brother and him everything that there is to know about American sports but Laurence’s asthma always exhausted him. “ While my brother and father practiced, I could only sit in bed, propped up by a stack of pillows.” Laurence never could achieve what his father over-prevailed. Laurence’s father would venture into guiding Laurence into the art of sports, but since Laurence suffered from asthma his lungs would always fail him. “During the times I felt well, I tried to keep up with them, but my lungs always failed me. When I had to sit down on the curb, I felt as if I had let my father down. I’d glance up anxiously when I felt a shadow over me; but he looked neither angry nor disappointed- just puzzled, as if he could not understand why my lungs were not like his… Ashamed, I would gasp. “Go on… and play.” At this point Laurence truly felt that he wasn’t his father’s son just because he didn’t have the stamina to play as long as his father and older brother could.…

My partner, Jude, and I were partners and we decided to observe the volleyball game at the gym. While watching the game, there was a group of PNUan girls that caught my attention. So I decided to let them be the subject of my observation. That group of girls was really wild and loud as opposed to the rest of the audience watching the game. They shouted and cheered for the PNU team. Whenever the team scores, they stood up and cheered at full volume. They even had this jingle that goes like this “ P-N-U FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! ” and sometimes mentioned a name of one of the players. But, I noticed that when the game started to reach its climax, those girls booed the opposing team every time they scored .…

    Chapter 4 Reflection

    • 322 Words

I am not sure if this goes exactly with the reflection but here it goes. My niece Savannah has always wanted to be a doctor. She began by going to school in Joplin and got her Bachelor’s in Nursing and is now an RN. She moved back home and is now working at Rogers Mercy Hospital in the ER. She still wants to be a doctor but since the Joplin tornado and I am sure some other reservations she does not want to leave home and go to medical school so she has decided to settle for becoming a Nurse Practitioner where she will still have to travel at least 2 hours each day she has class but she still gets to stay at home. She will begin this fall. Our entire family has tried to encourage her to go on to medical school and that we can visit and she can visit and we would help her through. We then thought the boyfriend of two years was holding her back, but he was caught cheating and they have now split up, but her decision still stands firm she just does not want to go far from home. She has always entrusted me and come to me with all her problems when she needs to talk, I suppose because we are close in age. There have even been times I had to break that trust for her own good when she was younger, but she still comes to me. I myself keep trying to encourage her to go to medical school, but without actually sitting her down and knowing how to handle her issues with leaving home and the tornado I feel as if I am becoming just like everyone else and trying to push her when she is really looking for some help. How would you go about helping a client in this…

I had fun in the convention but there were also problems that I encountered during the event. First is the place where we seated, I could barely see the emcees of the event, I do not want to rant about it but I just wish that there was a projector an screen in front of our side that shows what is happening in front, it was kind of hard for me to catch up on what’s really happening that time. And the second one is I ran out of seminar to sign up to, all of the workshops that I wanted to join is already full so I just signed up to the workshop that they added on that day to accommodate others who weren’t able to sign up for the workshop that they like.…

First of all let me define Reflection paper in my own perception, reflection paper means to express your thoughts and feelings on the subject. What your teacher wants to know what’s your reaction to the formulas are. And you can mention which is your favourite/most useful formula you also have to analyze it if it’s perhaps easy or hard. In the end make a conclusion and why you feel this way. Include your thoughts and opinions on it. That’s how you write a reflection paper in a general sense on anything. This approach is great because it allows students to have a better understanding of math. I think this class was better than the traditional approach because usually in a math class you just have to memorize information and then regurgitate it all on endless tests. The strengths of this class for me were that we were expected to really think about things, figure them out, and then write explanations too. If you have to explain something to someone else, you really have to know what it is all about. It might be harder, but this is what learning is really all about. Not just memorizing. When you struggle, try different approaches, figure it out and then try to explain it to someone else, you’re really learn it for good! At first i don’t have any idea about this subject if it is going to be hard or not? So far in fundamentals concepts of mathematics, we have learned a lot. Mostly, we learned Methods of proof, which was a hard concept to grasp at first. But little by little, with help from the teacher and each other, we began to understand Methods of proofs better and better. Fundamentals concepts of mathematics so far this year has probably been one of my harder classes, but I think it is my favourite. At first, I hated Venn diagram. They were the most annoying things in the world. They just didn't make sense to me. What was even more irritating…

“I have heard of a man lost in the woods and dying of famine and exhaustion at the foot of a tree, whose loneliness was relieved by the grotesque visions with which, owing to bodily weakness, his diseased imagination surrounded him, and which he believed to be real. So also, owing to bodily and mental health and strength, we may be continually cheered by a like but more normal and natural society, and come to know that we are never alone. (p.89)”.…
