Mass communication: Mass communication is a process which is used by many business owners or company owners. It’s a type of communication in which messages are transmitted to the people by widespread or large audience. It can be transmitted by different ways for example it can be transmitted by the newspaper which almost everyone reads every day it can also be transmitted by media, magazines, and television. Mass communication always targets large amount of audience to transmit or deliver different type of messages. For example: if the soda company makes a new product, they will transmit the message that they have made a new product by using mass communication. They will make advertisements which will be visible on TV’s, newspaper, magazines. Then these advertisements will be read by countless people this type of communication is called mass communication. Those who own businesses do mass communication like me. I would use mass communication by making different advertisements and spreading it around in the town so that everyone should know that I have an item for sale etc. That advertise will not be viewed by one or two people it will be shared with the entire town. Which will result in mass communication because you will be transmitting your message with the entire town not only between two people. Thus mass communication means messages that are transmitted to large, widespread audiences via electronic and print media.
Public communication: Public Communication occurs when a group becomes too large for all members to contribute. In public communication unequal communication occurs. All the member of the group cannot deliver their message only one or two successfully delivers their message, if unequal communication occurs the verbal feedback from the members of the group does not occurs. This makes the audience not to talk back in a two-way communication. They cannot answer ones persons question clearly or have a brief discussion of a single topic. There would be

In the United States, many university journalism departments evolved into schools or colleges of mass communication or "journalism and mass communication", as reflected in the names of two major academic organizations. In addition to studying practical skills of journalism, public relations or advertising, students also may major in "mass communication" or "mass communication research." The latter is often the title given to doctoral studies in such schools, whether the focus of the student's research is journalism practice, history, law or: media effects. Mass communication research includes media institutions and processes, such as diffusion of information, and media effects, such as persuasion or manipulation of public opinion. With the Internet's increased role in delivering news and information, mass communication studies —and media organizations—have increasingly focused on the convergence of publishing, broadcasting and digital communication. Mass Communication majors investigate the role mass media has played, and continues to play, in American culture. They are analysts and historians, examining everything from 19th Century Harper's political cartoons to the newest McDonald's commercial. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center is a non-profit corporation with the mission to raise funds for, program, own and operate the memorial and museum at the World Trade Center siteIn September 2007, the Memorial & Museum launched a four-month national awareness tour that stopped at 25 cities in 25 states where thousands participated in the tour’s activities. The tour began at Finlay Park in Columbia, South Carolina and ended at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. Highlights from the tour included: an exhibition of photographs, artifacts from the site and a short film featuring firsthand accounts from individuals who had experienced 9/11 directly.
