If I could choose to do one thing differently it would be to form some type of program for the boys in addition. I think that this program was abundantly beneficial for the girls and I wish that there was also one for the boys. By the end of the program, the boys were requesting for a Boys on the Run. It taught me patience. In life you will often run into people whom it seems their sole motive is to make things more difficult for you. You may run into people who hate you for no reason and you may run into people that just seem incompetent. In the adult world you can not flip out on them and instead you have to have a lot of patience. Dealing with third through fifth graders assisted me in learning a huge heap of patience.
I have one big suggestion for senior projects that upcoming seniors have most likely heard many times before, but I can not stress the importance of it. Make sure to choose a topic you enjoy. The senior project process was already stressful enough as it is, so subtracting the enjoyment of the activity from the equation could create stress levels comparable to those of Atlas. It may seem easy to select a topic at random but I promise that a wave of regret will hit you midway through the project if it is not something of which you are interested
