Reflective Essay For Nursing School
I began my studies at the University of Phoenix online in the year 2012. My studies were in general Psychology accelerated courses online. My intentions were to further my education in order to transition from the educational field, and begin to pursue my career in Behavioral Health and Sciences. However, during this transition in my life, I began to encounter some distracting and difficult challenges along the way that were very stressful and emotional for me. Many of my challenges were very drastic and, it caused me to lose focus in my studies at one point. I knew I wanted to further my career even after all I had gone through. At the end of the year 2014 transitioning into 2015, I was able to successfully move into my new place with my children. I took some time to readjust myself back into the work environment by transitioning from my career in Education to the Behavioral Health field. I was able to gain more of my focus on children who had social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. With networking and exposing my resume to different career websites, I was able to land a career path working with not only behavior but, with children who had challenges underneath the spectrum of Autism. I was able to go through extensive trainings and gained a certificate through my job from the BCBA board for RBT in the ABA field. I am very committed in maintaining a 3.0 during my studies with ST Joseph’s online school because, I have less of the stressor’s and burden than I had before. I have more of a flexible work schedule now than before and will continue to work in the same career in which I will be studying to help with my courses by networking and reaching out to others in the same profession. Because, I have worked with children in every possible way for over 25 to 30 years…I finally realized I have really found my passion in the Educational and Psychological field. This is what has inspired me to go back to school and further my future
