Reflective Essay: Nordlinger's Children Of Monsters

I started my writing process when I began to read my book Children of Monsters. As I read, I tried to stickynote places that seemed to show significant displays of author’s style. After completing the book, I continued the writing process by attempting to focus my journal responses on topics that I could potentially stem off of to create an essay. Unfortunately, after that I took a much too long break from the essay, and procrastinated. I tried to think of a thesis, but even after hours of looking through the book, no substantial ideas came to me. I was trying too hard to be inspired. Finally, while I was in the midst of completing another task, an idea came to me. I could show how Nordlinger’s style created the nonfiction book into more of
