Reflective Learning Experience Analysis
There is no doubt that reflective teaching supports professional and personal growth. Inevitably, I tend to reflect about my practice on an everyday basis. Analyzing and adapting my brick and mortar practices into the online environment was one of my major challenges.
As a new teacher in a virtual school, I feel that I successfully innovated and adapted my teaching style. I am a believer in active learning, and learning through play. I was eager to dive into power point to create exciting ways to introduce Spanish language to my students. I feel that I accomplished that, however, PowerPoint is very limited when executed in the LL room, for this reason, I am looking forward to continue creating resources and methods using Adobe® flash. I have and innate curiosity about how things work, therefore, I want to learn more about this application to develop Spanish games, quizzes and other resources that I could use for assessments and LiveLessons.
Besides adapting my practice, I successfully faced the challenge of learning how to utilize data to identify students who are struggling in the course, and managed that information to actively support them. I would not add any rows or change anything to it, as it is comprehensive and I will definitely bring this tool to the upcoming year as it helped me tremendously to

I would not change anything about connections; I am very happy working here and I truly enjoy and appreciate the team I work with. My favorite course to teach is Spanish III, because my students enjoy when I speak Spanish and they like receiving feedback from a native speaker to improve their fluency. The least favorite course I teach is Spanish I, because I think it moves students at too fast of a pace. It should be less complex to give our part time students the chance to become familiar with Connexus first so they can perform

    Gibbs’ (1988) reflective cycle is a popular model for reflection. It is clear and precise allowing for description, analysis and evaluation of the experience helping the reflective practitioner to make sense of experiences and examine their practice.
