As a new teacher in a virtual school, I feel that I successfully innovated and adapted my teaching style. I am a believer in active learning, and learning through play. I was eager to dive into power point to create exciting ways to introduce Spanish language to my students. I feel that I accomplished that, however, PowerPoint is very limited when executed in the LL room, for this reason, I am looking forward to continue creating resources and methods using Adobe® flash. I have and innate curiosity about how things work, therefore, I want to learn more about this application to develop Spanish games, quizzes and other resources that I could use for assessments and LiveLessons.
Besides adapting my practice, I successfully faced the challenge of learning how to utilize data to identify students who are struggling in the course, and managed that information to actively support them. I would not change anything about connections; I am very happy working here and I truly enjoy and appreciate the team I work with. My favorite course to teach is Spanish III, because my students enjoy when I speak Spanish and they like receiving feedback from a native speaker to improve their fluency. The least favorite course I teach is Spanish I, because I think it moves students at too fast of a pace.
