For one to begin their journey in an unknown world to knowledge and intellect, they must first begin with the basics. The 1st grade was a stroll in the park; addition, subtraction. Little Anna breezed her way from 2nd to 3rd grade with no mathematical problems in her way. Unfortunately, this story soon ended with losing summer vacation time, and many study sessions. Multiplication and division refused to allow little Anna to have a social life. That was then, and this is now. Hello, my name is Anna Mendoza. I was that little girl some years ago. From the mountainous piles of homework from high school algebra, to my experience in college algebra, math has never been my strong suit. Perhaps I could blame it on my extracurricular activities, my job, the professor, or my brain. Either way, math had me up against the ropes in the 12th round, and I was about to throw in the towel.
