Reflective Writing Assignment

I am writing this letter in regards to my academic progress for my OSAP purpose. I have faced many issues during my study in 2010-2011 period of study which led to my poor performance in academic performance. I had hard time in transition from high school to new university life. I was affected mentally and emotionally because it was first time living away from my parents and I was also distracted by my roommates who caused negative impact on my study habits during school year. I know that these are not good excuses for poor performance because I should have overcome that struggle at that period of time and focus on my study. Since, I am not only a student who faces problems during school year.
After that year, I didn’t continue my study
for 2 years because I was emotionally down and had low self-estimation. During this period I worked at general labour sometime, sometime as sales representative and lived by myself with little help from parents to boost my low self-estimation issue which I did. I realized during this period that how important education is because it was very hard to meet normal living standard with general labour job or any other jobs that pays minimum wage. I also studied during my free time by myself so that I could keep up with my study. Finally this year I talked to admission office in Lakehead University about my situation and that I would like continue my study to achieve my goal which is to get good education and get degree. They suggested me to enroll myself in science program in Lakehead University so that I could achieve my goal. I will guarantee that I will be performing my best in upcoming study period by meeting every standard of university regulation.
Please consider allowing me to access OSAP funding for my program as I am very grateful that there are services such as OSAP to help students like me make the most basic of ends meet so that I have the energy and time to focus on what is important, my education.
