DESCRIPTION: Emperor Charles V requested a meeting with the Leaders hoping to clarify their religious beliefs in an attempt to restore religious and political unity. Emperor Charles believed that this would rally support against the Turkish invasion.

DESCRIPTION: Lutherans and Catholics arranged peace between them. The Peace of Augsburg permitted people to transplant to a religion whose faith was more congenial.
