Crime analysts use critical thinking skills on a daily basis. A real life situation when I used critical thinking skills was when fellow Analyst Taylor and I built an analysis on a sexual assault offender that was offending in a particular district. We pulled relevant crime data that fit the provided description of the sexual offender. We then used critical thinking skills to analyze and find a pattern in the offenses that the sexual offender committed.
