intelligence analysts at the same time. I completed all of the tasks the analysts assigned to me in an effective and timely manner. Lastly, when working as a Graduate Research Assistant I was constantly multi-tasking as I assisted a Graduate Professor in research. I analyzed drug offender interviews, researched drug offenders and gangs, as well as aided in outlining a paper for future publication. Furthermore, I coded the qualitative from the interviews I analyzed. Once I coded the data, I collaborated with the professor to verify and alter the coding.
2.
Throughout my college career I utilized my analytic, and critical thinking skills quite often. I designed, and completed a research project analyzing the portrayal of human trafficking victims in films and documentaries. I created my own coding for the qualitative data that I analyzed, and presented it at the University of Dayton's Stander Symposium. While in Graduated School, I have also completed various research projects and papers, which caused me to use my analytical and critical thinking skills. I researched sex offender laws, gangs, drug offenders, weapons carrying techniques, and the role policy plays within the criminal justice system. I also completed a criminal justice statistic course that utilized SPSS. Lastly, I completed a comprehensive exam that required me to analyze a criminal justice program. I analyzed the program to examine its implementation and effectiveness. I utilized my knowledge of social research method techniques, criminological theory, statistical analysis, and policy analysis to determine the effectiveness of the program and made recommendations on how to improve the
program.
3. Throughout my college career and work experience, I have effectively completed every task I have been given either independently or as a team member. Again, independently I designed and completed an extensive, yearlong research project analyzing human trafficking victims portrayal in mainstream media. I have also completed numerous other research projects and presentations independently and as a team member. I have collaborated with team members on countless group projects while in college and graduate school. I successfully analyzed a crime scene for a Forensic Psychology course as part of team, as well as conducted an observational research project as part of a team. Furthermore, while working as Graduate Research Analyst, I collaborated with a Graduate Professor while conducting research and coding qualitative data. Lastly, at Chicago HIDTA I completed my tasks independently and the results were then analyzed as part of criminal investigations. So, I completed tasks independently, but my results were aiding a team of analysts who were conducting various investigations. Throughout my work and college experience I have had countless tasks and projects that I have successfully completed independently or as a team member.
