2.1 How Do I Look?

The Perfect Reflection

1.) Zeke and Finnigan changed after looking in the mirror because they felt like they realized that they weren’t alike at all.
2.) The mirror distorted Zeke and Finnigan’s “true reflection” because Zeke was a dog with a cat’s personality and Finnigan was a dog with a cat’s personality so when they saw themselves in the mirror it revealed something they’ve never seen before.
3.) Sometimes people block other people out because they don’t look a certain way and the way they look isn’t good enough in the eyes of other people.
4.) “The best reflection of ourselves is the one that we see in the eyes of a good friend” because a true friend sees you for who you really are and doesn’t judge you on your flaws. A good friend is one who sees the good inside of you and doesn’t judge what is on the outside.

Who should go out in Public?

1.) We could identify with Lisa because we know that it is wrong to leave people out because of your appearance and abilities on the outside.
2.) No it’s never right to exclude someone based on their appearance because its not what is on the outside that counts.
3.) Devin- If we were in Devin’s shoes we would have included Lindsay and made plans for her to meet our friends Lindsay- If we were Lindsay we would have spoke up and told Devin how we really felt.
Lisa- If we were Lisa we would have told Devin that how he excluded Lindsay was wrong and he shouldn’t have been so worried to bring her around his friends.
4.)To make Lindsay fit in better Devin and his friends could have all hung out together at a soup café or go to the movies where not a lot of talking needs to be done.

A Body Fit for God 1.) We can learn that by becoming human right at the moment of conception, the Son will help people will understand that human life and the human body are sacred from the moment of conception.
2.)

2.) God wants human beings to understand that a person doesn’t become less valuable and a human

    9. In this quote, Ethan now sees Zeena in a completely different light. The description of Zeena represents a major contrast between her and Mattie. This depiction is very negative and describes Zeena as old and dry. Her stature is dark and unfeminine as the quote uses the words ‘tall and angular’ and ‘flat breast’ which are associated with a more masculine body. In the story, this is the opposite of how Mattie is described. On the other hand, Mattie is youthful, sweet, and pretty. Now the readers can see that this contrast is most likely the cause for Ethan’s indiscretions.…

Because God loves us, He sent his only Son and let Him die. He also revels to us that love needs to be encountered, and experienced in order to not to be senseless. We see ethical discovery of our dignity in the image of God. As mentioned above, the document also highlighted the importance of human dignity as one of the main roots for the Church and its activity; “the dignity that each human being has Page 3 reached and can continually reach in Christ, namely the dignity of both the grace of divine adoption and the inner truth of humanity, a truth which-if in the common awareness” (RH12). This great truth is one of Church's basic messages to everyone in the world, showing that God truly loves us. A new life is given by redeeming mankind and erasing the past. Church wants everyone to find Christ “in order that Christ may walk with each person the path of life, with the power of the truth about man and the world” (RH 14). Life which is connected by the mystery of incarnation and redemption. As the Pope wrote, “Christ, the new Adam, in the very revelation of the mystery of the Father and of his love, fully reveals man to himself and brings to light his most high calling" (RH 9). Christ provides us with freedom and…

I think we, as humans, “discriminate” one another because it’s in our nature. When we are trying to figure out where we fit in this world, we desire to look like and portray what we aspire to be, and because we have so many diverse interests, ultimately it causes us to separate ourselves amongst each other. While one person may choose to associate themselves with someone who is clean cut and modest, another person could very well want to befriend someone whose body resembles an art canvas. People come from different backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles, so there will always be a difference in the way people act, dress, and look. There will always be some kind of discrimination in the world, whether it be racial, sexual, religious, or in this case, looks and physical attributes.…
