Amongst the many status reminders from Remland, I believe that superiors have to be most conscious about is “The Cold Shoulder” and “Dressing Up & Dressing Down”. When it comes to the cold shoulder, superiors have to understand that the people that they hire are people that they have to gain relationships with. Just because they are of a higher power, does not mean that they do not have to have a relationship with their employees. If the superior is giving the employees the cold shoulder, then they may feel like they can not talk to them on a business level and this is very important when representing a company. With dressing up and dressing down, the superior or superiors are apart of the brand and the face of their companies. Yes, they may can do as they please, but good representation starts with the people that work for the brand/company. Image is everything.
