Proposed Research Title: Rental and Payment System for People’s Market Utilizing Barcode Technology
Area of Investigation: People’s Market is a private market located at Barangay Tumana, Marikina City. It was established in year 2000, and the owner is Antonio Melocoton. Before establishing an owned market, Melocoton became a tenant as well. He had stalls located in Bayan, Marikina City, Fairview Market, and Montalban Market selling meat products. Because of his perseverance and will to become successful, he established his own market. The market hour starts at 5am till 9pm. People’s market is supervised by the administrator named Ramon Andres. They also have a collector, security and janitor. It has fifty (50) stalls with different size. They have different sections like dry and wet goods, vegetables and fruits, general merchandise, fish, meat sections and etc. The rental fee is fixed even if the electricity or water bills vary, so that tenants will not complain and get confused about their payments.
