This medium sized family company has grown tremendously over the past 87 years whilst still remaining privately owned by the H family. Originally the business only offered bedroom furniture which was manufactured within their plant in Leicestershire. Now years down the line, the business has expanded to offer a full service from initial design to fully fitted furniture with a 10 year guarantee. They have branched out in to fitted kitchens, which matches the service offered when buying a fitted bedroom, and is an upcoming part of the business. They also have a division that makes component parts for much larger projects.
All manufacturing has been retained within the UK with the majority still being based in one of the three factories in Leicestershire. Customers
Over the years, H have maintained a strong relationship with their customers past and present. Their strong name in the industry has allowed them to establish partnerships with high street names such as John Lewis, Next and Furniture Village. However, the customers have not only been the general public who have visited their own named stores and that of their partners but also commercial customers who approach the company to build their office furniture or help them with larger projects that they have been commissioned with. Purpose and Goals
H 's purpose is no different to that of most other companies; "The main purpose of all organisations are to provide: a service or financial return for those that they serve, to survive and to develop"
