Republican Response to “The American Jobs Act”
Obama is being taken as a joke! Republicans are not taking him seriously, nor are they supporting him or respecting him as the President of the United States of America. On an article titled “President Obama’s Job Speech Recap: If You Wish Upon a Star!” written by Kent Mccarty, the author starts off by criticizing President Obama for being 10 minutes late and comparing it to his schools’ policy where if you are late your average drops down a letter grade. “If there is any justice in this world, Obama will be reprimanded for his tardiness” stated Kent in his article.
The author continues by acknowledging that Obama has made many good points (Wow, that sounds great right? Who can argue with that? When you look at it like that, it’s hard to find any opposition - Kent) but then shoots him down saying that this is not the first time we hear that and that from time to time we have heard the same empty promises. He states “this jobs bill looks like just another Washington pipe dream”. Kent goes on explaining that this bill can’t be considered “paid for” as stated by Obama because the costs will be covered by future cuts which Kent calls “payday loan”. Kent makes a few sarcastic remarks on how Obama told congress “pass this bill”, according to him 17 times, and that no matter how many times more Obama would have said “pass this bill” will it persuade congress to do so. “Additionally, Obama has potentially set himself up for failure by setting the bar for this plan entirely too high”. Kent goes on explaining that it is ludicrous to believe that by passing this act and enacting trade laws will do anything in the way of automotive preference. Several things that Obama mentioned will stay locked up in Obamaland according to Kent. One of these things being that Asians would ever purchase USA made cars such as Chrysler over their reliable & efficient Kia cars. Asian countries will continue to buy Asian made cars
