Introduction
On the premise of the successful SAP HANA implementation case in Cape Town, this essay is going to have an detailed analysis on the SAP HANA package in order to help the readers have an in-depth understanding of SAP. In the first part of the essay, there is an introduction of SAP, SAP HANA package, and the major functionalities of SAP HANA. In fact, there are other software providers as well as SAP who provide ERP software. And for the other two software providers Oracle and IBM Informix, both of them offer packages for data management and business decision support software, such as Master Data Management, IBM Informix and Infor ERP. Moreover, there is a statement of the specific functions and advantages of SAP ERP, which precipitate the city council of Cape Town chose the ERP provided by SAP. Nevertheless, the implementation of SAP ERP is not an easy process to be easily executed. In the last section, there are lists of benefits, and challenges of deploying ERP system, and top five critical factor for successful ERP implementation projects.

SAP HANA and Its Functionalities
As there has been a tendency for the modern business in majorities of enterprises and companies becoming more complex, and the business software are required to be multifunctional and responsive. And enterprise resource planning (ERP) is helpful this kind of enterprise with massive information processing and efficient response when managing the business process, which including product planning and development, manufacturing, Marketing and sales, inventory management, and shipping. (Wikipedia, 2013) SAP is one of the world-famous providers of ERP. SAP is the biggest ERP business software provider in the world, one of whose products is SAP HANA. SAP HANA is a real-time platform which is quite suited for real-time analytics and real-time application developing.
