I never would of thought the esophagus would look like a slide! Being pushed further down by peristalsis, I looked up, I could see the smooth muscles contracting, while my meat and bun are being squeezed through the tube. Before this slide looked really fun, it's not. It was really wide but now it keeps getting smaller as I move down. I remember asking my teacher if it would hurt going through the esophagus. He told me, "it isn't fun to be squeezed into something, but this is how a human's digestive system works." He was right, but my bun is soft and mushy, so it wasn't that bad. Here, the water from my bun and meat is being reabsorbed, which concentrates wastes. I can see Cabby and Squeaky, but they are not in the form of lettuce or cheese, they are complete mush now. Human's don't particularly like talking about this section of the digestive system because it is where feces are kept temporarily. The good thing about the large intestine is that it produces vitamins which become absorbed. The bad thing about this structure is that bacterial infections can occur, and irritate the the large intestine.
Finally, we are in the last stage of the human digestion processes, the rectum. I hope I'm getting paid a lot for this. There must be some sort of deal here, oops, sorry, we're on the air!
