Antonio/ New
Braunfels area never in my life I knew this place was in town. It wasn’t until then when my brother High School Mariachi decide to take a trip to San Antonio this spring break while I was reading his what they were going to do on the trip. I read they were going to the Natural Bridge Caverns and I asked my brother Jacob what was that location and he gave me a summary of what it was. So, me and my family deceived to tag along to visit this location and so I can get more information instead of looking the information I need online.
First and foremost, here’s a history and background of the Natural Bridge Caverns.
The natural bridge caverns are located near New Braunfels Texas.
Also, is the largest cavern in Texas. The cavern took about 2 years to build and then they decided to not show the cavern to the people in Texas until it was finish. But, that’s not all they want the Natural Bridge Caverns to be extremely perfect to the community and the visitor’s so the caverns were not open until July 3,1964. Even though the cavern is old and about 60 years old the cavern is still growing every day. The temperature in the caverns is it that its always around 70’s degree no matter what season or time of year. Another fact of the History of the Natural Bridge Cavern is that the Natural Bridge Cavern is in Texas but also close to the Natural Bridge Wide Life Ranch. It’s always extremely humid in the caverns. The Natural Bridge Caverns were discovered by 4 students who were going to college in San Antonio. The guy name Jack Burch who made the Sonora Cavern he decided to help his friends to finish the Natural Bridge Caverns. On the other hand, I Read 2 eBooks and they had different views and information of the Natural Bridge Caverns History I need for my …show more content…
Research.
What history I found to write for this Research was that about the differences of the Natural Bridge Caverns and the natural bridge wildlife ranch. And it even shows pictures of these locations in Author “Spencer” in his book so we can have a view of these beautiful places. Also, he talks about the history of the bridge and caverns from the inside and outside. No doubt another book I Read “Texas Caves” it talked about well its talking about all the caverns in Texas and how they range from largest to smallest caverns in sizes in Texas. And that there’s about 3,000 thousand caverns in Texas total I didn’t even know that but in this book, you will learn about a lot of different caverns. Texas caves shows the outside world of these caves and give us so much detail of the background of these caves. And provides excellent pictures of the caves as well.
Next, another good note of the History of The Natural Bridge Caverns is that its located near the city of San Antonio Texas. Also, right off the Texas Hill country next to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. It's also known as the largest Cavern in Texas. The Natural Bridge Cavern is popular for their extreme cavern and is one of the top cavern attraction in Texas as well. Down below is a picture of the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.
Next I am going to talk about the Flora and Fauna in South And central Texas the Flora in San Antonio/New Braunfels Texas consists of a vegetation which is normally Pecan, Post Oak and Texas Persimmon and Button Brush.
With this Vegetation, you will find these flowers called Coreopsis and Ox-eye daisy and my favorite Blue Bonnets in Texas. First, detail I’m going to talk about is the flora mainly in South and central Texas. The "Natural Bridge Caverns is called a living cave because the cave formations are still being formed by water dissolving rock," explains Brian Vauter, Cave Geologist for Natural Bridge Caverns. From here on now I’m going to talk about the Flora inside the Natural Bridge
Caverns.
The flora in the cave is different unlike the Flora outside of the caverns in Texas. Of course, inside the cavern there is stuff falling and dripping from the caverns being so old inside and outside. There are two tours called “Discovery and Hidden Passages Tour.” One your lasts about 70 minutes and the other is just a little bit longer the entire length of the other tour is 75 minutes. And that’s too see the Flora, Fauna and Climate inside the caverns so you can see the difference from inside the caverns and the Flora, Fauna and Climate outside of the caverns in Texas. Inside the Caverns the Flora you can see is all the layers of rocks like sapphire, rubies and other layers of rocks. The natural bridge caverns flora is totally made of different layers of rocks to complete the caverns. An interesting fact about the Flora in Natural Bridge Cavern is that you can travel through and see all the different layers of different of rocks. And get to look at the different rocks and learn about the history of the rocks and how there all different. What you’ll find out is Glen Pose is the oldest layer of the rocks.
