The attack on pearl harbor was a devastating day. Our forces were so unaware of what was about to happen that day. The question I still ask to this day is why? Why did the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor? This Attack happened a while ago but americans are still not forgetting. I believe people no matter what generation you're in you should never forget the attack that happened to our country on American soil. Why, In the first place, Did Japan want to attack us.? The fact that makes no sense Japan continued to negotiate with the United states up to the day of the attack, however, Prime Minister Tojo Hideki decided on the surprise attack towards the U.S Naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii. As throughout the 1930’s they (Japan) were trying to defeat the Chinese empire which they need the oil to run their war machine. And in 1941 they had a different plan which would consists if it didn’t go accordingly they would declare war on the United States, guessing they decided on the US Naval base at Pearl Harbor.
