At the talent show in the gymnasium, we were backstage and it was our turn to go, and once the curtain opened my heart beat escalated quickly. I looked out into the crowd and so many people were there, the students, strangers, and even my parents were there. I then walked to the microphone, and since there were just two microphones Joshua and Sedina decided to share one microphone. When I stood behind my microphone, I could feel everyone’s eyes on me, even Sedina and Joshua’s eyes. I could feel my heart beating, my stomach having constant butterflies, and my legs shaking like crazy. When I started to sing, I could hear murmurs, gasps, and I could see people’s eyes opening wide. That was when I finally found my talent which is singing, but that is also when I found out I had stage fright. The only way for me not to mess up was to look at the wall, I stared at the wall while I sang my heart out. After I got off the stage I felt like I was gonna throw up, but it never came out, my friends ran to me and cheering and a couple of people were even surprised. While people talked to me my voice was still shaky and my hands were still shaky. To this day in 8th grade, I still have stage fright, and even writing this story my hands are shaky. I still sing in front of people with my friends, but I still don’t overcome my stage fright sadly, but the one thing I wish I could change about myself, is my stage fright because maybe, just maybe I could sing for more people.
